  • With the US markets closed, & an ostensibly empty pipeline, today was always going to be a quiet session. As it was only one IG borrower stepped forward, with CIBC printing a short dated senior bail-in floater. Supply totals were driven by that one deal with European € IG primary supply totalling €1.35bn for the day - 1 issuer / 1 tranche (1 x FIG).

  • Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (exp. Issue ratings A2 / A- / AA- by Moody’s, S&P & Fitch) announced a short dated 2 year, senior unsecured, benchmark FRN with IPTs of 3 month Euribor +65 area. Books were first called at over €2bn, rising to over €2.3bn (pre-rec). Final spread came in 25bps tighter at 3 mth Eur +40. The deal sized at €1.35bn offering investors a NIC of -1bp. Final books, good at re-offer, of over €1.5bn.

  • Thursday, 18th May: Toyota Motor Corporation (exp. Issue ratings of A+ / A1 by S&P & Moody’s), mandated JP Morgan, BofA Securities, Morgan Stanley, Barclays, & BNP Paribas to arrange a series of fixed income investor conference calls in Europe commencing on 18th June, 2026. JP Morgan will be coordinating logistics. An inaugural transaction of Reg.
